Located within the walls of a renovated traditional farmhouse at the heart of one of the most beautiful walnut orchards, the Grand Séchoir outlines the long history of those who have worked for more than a century to make the walnut famous. Far from being a static display area, the cultural centre offers an original and contemporary collection which places all aspects of walnut growing, its savoir-faire, human and architectural heritage, and customs and traditions on display. A visit reveals that a seemingly simple and natural flavor such as the walnut is actually the result of many long and patient years of work undertaken by numerous generations.

The shop of Le Grand Séchoir

To continue your exploration of the country of the walnut in flavors, the shop of Le Grand Séchoir proposes you a vast choice of products and articles carefully selected.

Walnut producers and craftsmen gathered to propose you walnut-based sweets : chocolate walnut, caramelized walnuts, crisp, candies, jams, creams, bars of walnuts, nougat, cakes, chutney, mustard, walnut oil, beer of walnuts and of course the walnut aperitif! The local craftsmen also propose beautiful objects made of walnut wood : nutcracker, knives and sculptures.

Finally, the bookshop includes books on walnut, on gastronomy and on local heritage, documentary movies and pedestrian footpath guides of the Sud Gresivaudan area.
